Our favorite performance. At Paradise Studio where I was director a few years. I hosted Friday Practica there for seven years and events during Tango Fest and ValenTango.
Recorded about 2008. Joel was 20, I was 68. Found the dress at a thrift shop!
The first time we performed to Gallo Ciego Joel had been dancing only six months. I choreographed e-v-e-r-y beat of the relatively complex routine, considering his experience level. All went well at Cinco de Mayo, audience of thousands.
This performance was several years later and completely lead-follow. Did not have a clue what he would do and was amazed at his creativity. He threw in things we had never done before and led with great clarity. Delightful.
